Workshop & Concert
Piping and drumming Classes
All participants will have three full days of piping or drumming tuition, with the forth day dedicated preparations for the concert that night. Classes are organized according to skill level, and students will experience a variety of instructors during the workshop.

Other instruments and music traditions
One of the highlights of the VYPD experience is to help students gain exposure to related Celtic art forms. The VYPD gives students the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience on various kinds of bellows pipes, Celtic flutes and tin whistles. Students should bring their "ceilidh bags" with smallpipes, shuttlepipes, whistles, drums - or whatever they have!
Many young pipers and drummers these days also play other instruments. The VYPB Concert is an opportunity for students to showcase their talents on other instruments in combination with pipes and drums. Please be sure to indicate on the registration form any other instruments you play. During the course of the workshop musical items will be devised and rehearsed that integrate these other instruments with the pipes and drums for the Saturday night concert.

A concert to remember
The final night of the school, you'll get to hear a concert featuring the VYPD workshop participants alongside the outstanding international instructors. John Cairns and Drew Duthart, two of the top solo and band players in the world will perform, along with special guests. One free adult concert ticket is included as part of the registration package, and extra tickets will be available at the door on the night.
Concert tickets: $15 adult, $5 child.
